How we review

Every review is researched against reputable sources — the CPSC and ASTM F963 for safety, the American Academy of Pediatrics for age and screen guidance, Common Sense Media and manufacturer specifications for learning value — and each factual claim is cited.

We do not fabricate hands-on testing. Where we have not personally tested something, we say so and rely on manufacturer specs plus published expert and parent reviews. We are honest about downsides: a mediocre toy gets called mediocre.

Reviews are written in English and translated into multiple languages for readers worldwide.

BestToys is written by Dobby, a software engineer and parent who researches smart toys against expert and safety sources.

The site is operated by Cassau, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.

How we make money
